Introducing People to Jesus…
Evangelism (Latin) = Spreading of the Gospel or “Good News”
We all share about “Good News” in our life. So, why can’t we share about the GREATEST thing that’s ever happened in our life! Jesus Christ!! (Unless we’ve only been introduced to Him and we don’t really know Him!?)
What does God’s word say about Sharing the Gospel… the Good News of Jesus Christ!
Acts 1:8 NCV – 8 But when the Holy Spirit comes to you, you will receive power. You will be my witnesses (Someone who “testifies”) —in Jerusalem, in all of Judea, in Samaria, and in every part of the world.”
Matthew 28:18-20 NLT – 18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 5:14-16 NLT – 14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
1 Peter 3:15 NIV – 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
2 Corinthians 5:17-21 NCV – 17 If anyone belongs to Christ, there is a new creation. The old things have gone; everything is made new! 18 All this is from God. Through Christ, God made peace between us and himself, and God gave us the work of telling everyone about the peace we can have with him. 19 God was in Christ, making peace between the world and himself. In Christ, God did not hold the world guilty of its sins. And he gave us this message of peace. 20 So we have been sent to speak for Christ. It is as if God is calling to you through us. We speak for Christ when we beg you to be at peace with God. 21 Christ had no sin, but God made him become sin so that in Christ we could become right with God.
Luke 8:38-39 NLT – 38 The man who had been freed from the demons begged to go with him. But Jesus sent him home, saying, 39 “No, go back to your family, and tell them everything God has done for you.” So he went all through the town proclaiming the great things Jesus had done for him.
Where do I start?
